Genio Español Roble Four Months in French and American Barrels


Vineyards of Monastrell grapes growing on calcareous soil under the sunny climate of the Region of Murcia (South East of Spain), located between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. Low yields which below 1.5 kg. per stock.


ELABORACION: The grapes are harvested from the beginning of September to the end of October, we make a selection in the vineyard itself and in the winery we cool the grapes to about 10oC and we control that the fermentation does not exceed 25oC, the maceration lasts about 15 days. This wine use static devatting, using the press for other wines.


TASTING NOTES: Granate, borde cereza. Aromas a especias, fruta madura, roble nuevo, vainilla, canela y piñones. Expresivo y equilibrado, boca estructurada, con cuerpo, notas de la fruta madura muy elegantes.


AGING: Four months in french and american 50/50 barrels of 300l.
